Well after almost 2 days of driving a 1000+ miles, I arrived in San Antonio, Tx. I was greeted by crazy traffic in El Paso, Tx and it continued once I arrived at my apartment with has 3 major highway intersections a mile away! I made a trip to the nearest Wal-Mart via gps to get some basics and after traveling on 4+ freeways and feeling like I was going to have a panic attack.. I safely arrived at the store! Since then my fears of traffic (thanks to that car accident incident this year for scaring me) have diminished alittle but I have yet to turn into a crazy Tx driver just yet. gps quickly became my new bff and with its help I've found my way to work, a classmates apt, grocery store, and more. I took a trip around my neighborhood last week and actually went about a 15+ mile radius without gps or getting lost! As a result I am feeling like I am being to settle in and this makes me alot more comfortable.
My belongings arrived bright and early about 2 days after I did so I've been busy unpacking, putting things together and organizing. I've got just about all the basics in order but I haven't decorated much yet. Here is the living room and bedroom thus far.
Lastly I was commissioned as 2LT in the U.S. Army and my dad, grandma, and brother attended the ceremony. Here are some pictures from that event.
Otherwise I've just been showing up before dawn to report for formation daily and anything else they have to offer. Until next time, have a great day :D
